The start of a new financial year often brings blueprints, board meetings, and bold targets. But real progress happens on the ground — in the quiet moments between the last coat of paint and the first key handed over.
At LLC Group, we believe that growth isn’t just measured in numbers. It’s measured in rooms that feel like home. In teams that deliver under pressure. And in partnerships built on trust.
As we gear up for another year of high-quality delivery, we’re looking back at one of our most significant completions — the student accommodation development at Old Kent Road.
From a fast-food lot to a landmark There are projects that test your speed. Projects that test your systems. And then there are the ones that test your standards — at every level.
Old Kent Road was all three.
Over the course of 2024, LLC Group delivered the full painting and decorating package, as well as the builders’ clean, for a 267-unit student accommodation scheme in Southwark. Set across 10- and 12-storey buildings, and designed by Stitch Architects, this project was part of a wider regeneration plan transforming one of London’s most storied roads.
We didn’t just meet deadlines — we helped set the tone for an entire development.
“The difference between done and ready is in the details. We were proud to deliver a finish that felt purposeful — not just polished.”
— Site Manager, LLC Group
The Old Kent Road scheme stands out for more than its architecture. It introduced new affordable student housing, a landscaped public park, and sustainable design choices to a rapidly evolving part of London.
Behind the scenes, our teams were moving floor-by-floor, matching pace with a complex build programme led by CField Construction.
What helped us succeed:
It’s the kind of job that defines who we are: reliable, detail-focused, and quietly ambitious.
Great results come from great teams. At Old Kent Road and across our sites, 2024 was a year of strengthening the backbone of LLC Group — our people.
We don’t just invest in materials. We invest in momentum — by building a workforce that thrives under pressure and stays ahead of the curve.
Old Kent Road was a landmark project — but it’s part of a bigger story. LLC Group has continued to deliver on London’s most demanding builds:
Each site brought its own challenges. But our approach was constant: clarity, collaboration, and an eye for the details that matter.
2025 will be a year of innovation — not just in how we work, but how we scale. With enhanced site systems, new commercial frameworks, and an expanding footprint, we’re entering the next phase of growth ready to lead.
Old Kent Road reminded us that the end of a project is really just the beginning. Because what we leave behind says everything about who we are. Thanks to our teams, partners, and clients who make these milestones possible.
Royal Wharf, a £2 billion London riverside development, set out to create more than just homes — it built a thriving urban quarter. LLC Group played a key role behind the scenes, delivering expert finishing, deep cleans, and meticulous aftercare across 3,385 residences. Their work ensured every detail met the highest standards, from sparkling surfaces to flawless handovers. This lasting contribution helped transform a construction site into a lived-in, vibrant community.
LLC Group contributed final painting and cleaning services to Wembley Link Phase 2—an award-shortlisted housing scheme in the heart of Wembley. Developed by HUB with Bridges Fund Management and designed by Howells, it delivers 256 rental homes with 50 affordable units. The project features art deco-inspired towers, a community garden, co-working pods, and a car-lite, eco-conscious design. Part of Brent Council’s urban regeneration, it transforms a former railway embankment into vibrant, connected living. This development is a model for how investor-led housing can meet both architectural ambition and social value.
Cleaning building facades after construction is essential for both appearance and long-term protection. Common issues like paint splatter, residue, and streaks require tailored cleaning methods based on surface type. Access challenges demand the right equipment, from rope access to telescopic poles. Eco-friendly practices and water management help ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Finally, crew safety through proper gear, planning, and protocols is non-negotiable for a successful cleanup. Read to know more.
