Homes Built Around Green Space

The John Street development provides 70 affordable homes, arranged around 1,200 square metres of landscaped central open space that forms the heart of the site. The project also introduced 24 newly planted trees, helping create a greener setting for residents and the surrounding area.

As the project moved into its final stage, every apartment and shared internal area needed to be presented clean, clear, and ready for inspection.

The Stage Where the Dust Has to Disappear

Construction sites leave their mark. Fine dust, trade residue, and the evidence of months of work can settle everywhere. The final stage is about removing those traces so the homes look exactly how they were designed to.

From Construction Site to Living Space
Apartments were cleaned thoroughly, removing the layers of dust and residue that build up during the final stages of construction.
Shared Areas That Feel Finished
Corridors, stair cores, and entrance areas were brought up to the same standard, ensuring the development felt consistent throughout.
Small Site, Same Standards
Even with fewer homes than larger schemes, the expectation stays the same. Every unit and shared space needed to reach handover condition before completion.

Across the building, the goal was simple: remove the last signs of construction and present homes ready for residents.

Ready for a New Community

At John Street, our builders cleaning works helped prepare 70 affordable homes and their shared spaces for completion. The development now forms part of a new residential community in West Ham, delivered for the London Borough of Newham.
