Student Living Right by Queen Mary

SCAPE CANALSIDE, MILE END - HG CONSTRUCTION

Scape Canalside sits in Mile End, right by the Queen Mary Universityof London campus, turning a tight canal-side site into a major studentaccommodation scheme. Set between railway lines and Regent’s Canal, it is thekind of project where the location alone tells you the delivery had to besharp.

Working alongside HG Construction, our team delivered the paintingpackage, helping bring the interiors up to the standard expected across ahigh-density student development.

Project OVERVIEW

A Tight Site With a Big Student Brief

OUR APPROACH

No Hiding Places in Student Housing

Student accommodation has a habit of showing everything. White walls, tight rooms, long corridors, shared kitchens, study areas. If the finish is off, it does not stay a secret for long.

412 Rooms, Same Standard
The painting package had to work across studios, cluster flats, and shared internal spaces without the quality dipping as the room count climbed.
Corridors Do a Lot of Talking
In buildings like this, the corridors, study areas, and shared spaces shape the first impression as much as the rooms do. The finish needed to feel sharp throughout, not only where the brochure camera points.
Campus Living, Not Construction Living
With the scheme positioned right by Queen Mary, the end result had to feel ready for students from day one, not like it still had a snag list pinned to the wall.

Across the scheme, the aim stayed simple: make a complex student development feel crisp, consistent, and ready for occupation.

RESULT

Ready for Student Life

At Scape Canalside, our painting package helped prepare 412 student rooms and shared internal spaces within a logistically demanding Mile End development right by Queen Mary University of London. The finish had to feel clean, consistent, and ready for the people it was built for
